THE CHALLENGE: As an employee of Hawke Media for 3 years I worked on a variety of internal projects, the largest of which was a full rebuild of the Hawke Media website which had become cluttered and slow.

MY SOLUTION:

  • An 80+ page website with services tiered into category trees
  • Custom page templates connected to the CMS for easy uploading by the content team.
  • Custom CMS categories and tagging for easy filtering of blogs, authors, and case studies.

Web Build

Since Hawke Media is a service based company I centered this entire build around each department and what they have to offer. I tiered the site so that each department had its own page and every service had its own displaying examples of work and what that service entails.

I also moved the site from WordPress to Webflow. Using Webflow’s customizable CMS and Template building I created a system that was easy for our content team to manage when it came to uploading new blogs as well as case studies.

Event Collateral

Every year Hawke Media holds its e-commerce anti-conference called Hawkefest. Each year Hawkefest gets a new theme. I was in charge of the collateral for the 2018 event which was circus themed. Using set branding guidelines I created 2 directions for the event collateral drawing inspiration from the big top tent as well as the starry night sky seen between above it.

Marketing Collateral

When I first joined Hawke Media during its start up phase there was very little designed documentation. In an effort to create presentable marketing pieces I designed items such as letterheads and one sheets.

Style Guide

While I am not the original designer of the Hawke Media Branding. I did create the style guide establishing the rules for using brand elements such as the correct way to use the logo, colors that are allowed to be used and typography treatments.
